Good News vs Bad News

The Spirit of the LORD is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
-Luke 4:18
What does that scripture mean Sam? (You might ask)
Well my few blog readers I'll tell you what "I" think it means. It means the world we live in according to the media really sucks. But that's simply not true because every day we see people laugh and smile. This goes to show that if your looking for it, you can find positivity in day to day circumstances.

It talks about "the poor" this part is referring to you. Your all a bunch of povos in terms of good news. Your all bombarded with these negative messages in day to day news, and I get to be the anointed one who brings you the good news.

DISCLAIMER: Good News is hereby declared as any news story or happening that is anyway positive or amusing enough to put a smile on ones face. For example here is some BAD news today I read about a bunch of school children who were involved in quite a terrible bus crash. The writer of this story almost shows no concern for the poor kids, but instead decides to delineate how freaky the scene was by comparing the children to shark attack victims.
"Some of the kids looked like they had been attacked by sharks. The kids were just cut up in pieces - most of them couldn't feel it and were walking around"Gift for the theatrical and dramatic... Yes! But a terrible writer if he is trying to evoke emotions through the use of grotesque and horrific.

So try your best to wipe the bloodstains of that story from your mind whilst I replace it with this doozy I found. This is more 'amusing' than it is 'positive'. Some bloke in America who works at Pizza Hut borrowed a couple of books from the library. Time slipped away and he didn't quite get them back on time. The librarian tried to call him a few times, but he was unfortunately out, described in the article as avoiding all contact. So the American police came to the rescue! And threw the bastard in gaol for his heinous crime. He was only in for 10 days so its a small enough sentence to make the story hilarious.

I don't know if you consider it good news? But when I heard that story I laughed pretty damn hard :)

-So if you have got this far in the article. I would like to say thanks for having a squiz!
-Happy Birthday to Marina Mondal 18 today woo!
-If you have a google account hit the follow button to the left. It gives me motivation to write more if I know someone will read.

Over and Out!
