Birthday Blogging!

7th Sep

Yes it's true. As the title suggests, It is indeed my Birthday... and I am indeed blogging. How sad! But that being said I think I can be let off the hook considering I am Nineteen today. In my opinion Nineteen is like the most insignificant of ages. Its like the cassete tape in the world of music mediums. I say that because its not a Rite of Passage into anything. I mean I'm not legally allowed to to do more than what I could at 18. I also haven't broken my twenties. So I'm pretty much stranded in age limbo.

Considering it is my birthday I really dont want to go to work. But I know I must, because I guess it builds character or some rubbish. It doesnt help that I awoke to Lionel Richie telling me to:
"Take it easy like a Sunday Morning" Damn his refreshingly smooth voice!

That's enough about me I think. Back to the purpose of this blog which is to bring the good news to you positivity deprived beings. How I generally like to do that is take something that's kinda positive, but make it look  a lot better by juxtaposing it against the hideous negatives we see in everyday news.

For example today if you read the newspaper you will find:
  1. Carl Williams the lord of the crime underworld was beaten to death in prison. The jury in court was forced to sit through this and watch as he was killed to determine if the other bloke was guilty.
  2. A womans home was invaded early in the morning and she was robbed and then doused in petrol.
  3. There have been more dog attacks and maulings of young children.
  4. Julia Gillard continues to suck at her job, and we have to pay for it. Literally in Taxes
BUT Don't fear all of you lovely readers for I have scoured the world for a hint of goodness, the silver lining in a sky of grey.

But before I do, I say in the most non racist way possible, the Japs have done it again. Whenever technologies are needed guess who comes out with it faster and more high tech than anywhere else. Japan!

We all know about carbon emissions and how our world is turning into a tip if we don't start doing something. Well behold the Japanese innovation called the "Wind Lens"

A surprising aerodynamic innovation in wind turbine design called the 'wind lens' could triple the output of a typical wind turbine, making it less costly than nuclear power.
FULL STORY

In case you didn't know nuclear power HAD the highest energy output until now. So all we need is a paddock and some summer breeze and a wind lens, and Voila!! I have television, my laptop, hot water and still no life ;)

Well I hope that story has spun some energy into your positive neurons, and you can go around exclaiming "Wind is the Way"

Acts 2
"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting" Then the lights turned on!

Peace Out
Sam xx
